Dr. Zheng Zhou is a warm, open-minded, and non-judgmental Psychologist, deeply passionate about exploring the realms of culture, philosophy, and spirituality. This profound passion has driven her to cherish the essence of tailoring her practice to authentically align with the unique needs of each individual she has the privilege of working with.
Through collaborative efforts, Zheng assists her clients in comprehending their existence, weaving together the tapestry of their ethnicity, gender, religion, sexuality, spirituality, and culture.
With over 13 years of invaluable experience within the NHS, Zheng has honed her skills in providing therapy in both English and Chinese (Mandarin). Her diverse expertise extends to guiding individuals through an array of emotional and psychological challenges across the lifespan, including trauma, self-criticism, life stress, grief, and relationship distress.
Beyond her therapeutic endeavours, Zheng serves as a senior lecturer in the UK for doctoral trainees in Clinical Psychology. Empowered by an extensive knowledge base of intricate psychological frameworks, particularly those specific to clinical psychology, Zheng conducts engaging teaching sessions, immersive workshops, and insightful seminars, enriched by her experience in clinical psychology practice.

Publications
During her career, Zheng has published in journals such as Frontiers in Psychology, Psychiatric Intensive Care, and Early intervention in psychiatry. Her previous research focused on understanding and supporting the needs of individuals with psychosis and their carers. Currently, Zheng is a research supervisor and Internal Examiner to doctoral clinical psychology trainees. Her recent research interests are predominantly in the area of Clinical Psychology training and professional issues. These include:
